Baiyan Spring Scenic Area in Gaoqiao Town, Xian'an District welcomed a large crowd of summer escape visitors on the weekend right after the Start of Dog Days. Adults rolled up their trousers and splashed about in the water, while children ran after splashes with water guns. Their laughter mingled with the gurgling sounds of the stream.

Visitors laid out iced watermelons and local snacks under the shade of trees on the bank, enjoying the valley breeze. Sipping ice-cold soda and listening to the babbling water, they let the scorching summer heat dissolve completely into the cool, refreshing mountain air.
