The　construction　site　of　the　underwater　robot　communication，　navigation　and　remote　sensing　comprehensive　test　field　project　was　bustling　with　activity　in　Xianning　Pilot　Plant　Test　Valley　（Chibi）　Base　on　April　2nd．　All　kinds　of　construction　machinery　were　operating　in　an　orderly　manner，　and　the　builders　were　sparing　no　effort　to　advance　the　project　progress．

The　total　investment　of　this　project　is　100　million　yuan．　As　an　important　carrier　supporting　the　research　and　development　of　underwater　intelligent　equipment，　it　is　expected　to　be　officially　put　into　use　in　July　this　year．

This　project　is　jointly　built　by　Zhongshigu　（Xianning）　Low－altitude　Economic　Development　Co．，　Ltd．　and　the　School　of　Robotics　of　Wuhan　University．　Relying　on　the　national　key　research　and　development　program，　covering　an　area　of　approximately　9.6　mu　and　with　a　total　construction　area　of　6，150　square　meters，　it　is　dedicated　to　the　field　of　underwater　technology　and　aims　to　build　a　professional　R＆D　and　testing　platform．

The　project　precisely　aligns　with　core　technologies　such　as　communication，　navigation，　and　remote　sensing　perception　of　underwater　robots，　and　plans　to　build　an　embodied　intelligent　research　center　and　a　comprehensive　test　field．　In　the　future，　it　will　focus　on　solving　the　problems　of　robot　systems　in　scenarios　such　as　coral　reef　monitoring　and　topographic　surveying．　At　the　same　time，　it　will　simulate　diverse　underwater　environments　and　build　a　full－chain　testing　and　evaluation　system　to　provide　strong　technical　support　for　fields　such　as　water　conservancy，　national　defense，　and　civil　oceanography．

At　present，　the　project　construction　has　reached　a　critical　juncture．　The　Underwater　Embodied　Intelligence　Research　Center　of　the　School　of　Robotics，　Wuhan　University　has　been　officially　inaugurated　in　Chibi．　The　center　will　introduce　the　intellectual　property　rights　of　several　professors，　deepen　the　collaboration　between　the　university　and　the　local　government，　facilitate　talent　cultivation，　and　lay　a　solid　foundation　for　the　cultivation　of　the　regional　underwater　intelligent　equipment　industrial　ecosystem　and　the　aggregation　of　professional　talents．　（Xianning　Daily／Jian　Bo）
