The Mayor Ding Xiaoqiang to investigate education work in urban area 16-11-03

  XIANNING - Ding Xiaoqiang (Deputy Secretary and Mayor) on Wednesday led heads of Xianning Municipal Commission Office of Public Sectors Reform, Municipal Finance Bureau, Municipal Education Bureau, Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Xian’an District Government, and Xian’an District Education Bureau to investigate weak schools’ reconstruction, jointly running school and teachers’ exchange in urban area. Zhen Fangsong (Deputy Mayor) attended the investigation.

  This year education sector continues to implement “famous teachers sharing action project” and take full advantage of the leading role of famous teachers in sending education to countryside, “joint school network teaching”, and concentrated training; steadily promotes enrollment reform, education and teaching reform, curriculum reform, examination reform and team construction reform; improves teacher reward and punishment mechanism, joint test mechanism and assessment and observation mechanism to form energetic school management system of “ready to work at both higher and lower levels, clear post, orderly personnel flow”, constantly improving education quality.

  Ding and his team investigated Guolin Road Primary School, Chalukou Middle School, Beimen Primary School and Quantang Primary School to check teaching environment, surroundings, reconstruction effect and construction situation, and to learn about problem and difficulty in education work in urban area. They also held a symposium to exchange views on establishment for educators, teaching research reform, educational resource equilibrium and discuss the solution.

  Ding pointed out that education carries the future of Xianning and people’s expectation. Equal access to education is very important content in people’s livelihood, so it should let every child equally enjoy high quality education resource through improving basic conditions and teaching quality.

  Ding urged to increase investment for hardware and software, improve planning layout and promote teaching quality. It should focus on Xian’an to build one to two state-run kindergartens, one primary school and reconstruct a batch of weak schools to achieve balanced development of compulsory education; implement establishment and salary for teachers in accordance with laws and rules, recruiting adequate teachers to promote teaching level and develop fairer and higher quality education.

  Ding stressed that every child is equal in the eyes of the government and they deserve equal governmental public service. It should well implement specialized planning for educational facilities in urbanization process to meet the demand for high quality education; straighten up management system and mechanism to solve oversize class problem and issue of entering school of migrant workers’ children; create new teaching method and means to popularize and apply modern educational method; explore scientific management mode to realize rational flow of teacher resources in different schools, letting children grow healthily in fair and high quality educational environment.
