XIANNING - Hot spring leisure travel, suburb rural tour, parent-children tour, self-driving travel, urban leisure shopping tour……tourism market made a good start during New Year’s Day holiday in Xianning where it’s difficult to buy a gate ticket and order one hotel room.
The statistics show that Xianning received 1.2844 million tourists during New Year’s Day holiday, with total tourist income of 777 million yuan, an increase of 20.3% and 27.73% year on year respectively, hitting a record high.
Just like previous years hot spring bath is still hot, and all hot spring scenic spots launch a group of seasonal hot spring tourism products except conventional ones and carry out a series of original hot spring theme activities to attract many tourists. The daily tourist number of Sanjiang Forest Hot Spring is over 6 000, that of Hot Spring Valley, Country Garden Hot Spring, Taiyi Hot Spring, Chongyang Langkou Hot Spring, Jiayu Mountain Lake Hot Spring and Chibi Longyou Hot Spring is over 5 000, and that of other hot spring scenic spots over 2 000. All hot spring scenic spots receive about 40 000 tourists every day and more than 100 000 tourists in three-day holiday.
Officials of Xianning Municipal Tourism Commission said that this year the good start of tourism market benefits from booming tourism projects in recent years and accelerating transformation and upgrading, as well as innovatively promoting to foster commercial format, particularly successfully building tourism brand image in Wuhan Metro and high-speed rail, and a series of “Xianning Tourism” promotion events in 2016, which makes Xianning become the first destination for tourists from Wuhan and Changsha.
