XIANNING - 2017 Hubei Zishan Lake New Town Bicycle Open successfully ended on Sunday. It attracted 339 amateur players from more than 20 good clubs in a dozen of provinces.
This competition is hosted by Hubei Social Sports Administration Center, Xian’an District Government and Hubei Zishan Lake Ecological New Town Investment Co., Ltd, organized by Hubei Auto and Motorcycle Sports Association, Xian’an District Bureau of Culture, Sports, Press and Publication, and Heshengqiao township government. It divided into male mountain bike youth team, male mountain bike middle-age team, female mountain bike team and male highway elite team. The total bonus is 89 500 yuan, and the bonus of individual event reaches up to 5 000 yuan.
At 9:00 am male mountain bike youth team competition is the first to start. The referee Bi Lei told the reporter that this one-day competition is a road cycling race, with the whole journey of 5.9 km, and four teams’ competition will begin in turn, the total distance ranging from 23.6 km to 59 km.
After fierce competition, Chen Yien and Yuan Wei from Hunan (Changsha) Clockwise Cycling Team won the champion of male mountain bike youth team and female mountain bike team respectively; Wu Yinliang from Zhengzhou and Zhang Li from Guangdong Express Cycling Team won the champion of male mountain bike middle-age team and male highway elite team respectively.
Zhen Weijun, deputy secretary and secretary of politics and law committee of Xian’an district Party committee, said that in recent years various sports and tourism activities are in the ascendant in Xian’an. The Bicycle Open not only shows beautiful scenery in Zishan Lake, but also is an important measure to promote national fitness and practice green development concept.
