XIANNING - Recently Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Department investigated the need for workers in 50 large-scale enterprises in Xianning Economic Development Zone. The result shows these 50 enterprises are expected to need 2500 workers this year.

　　These 50 enterprises have 4500 workers altogether, an increase of 900 workers over the past year; but there is still labor shortage: it’s expected to need 2500 workers this year. According to relevant head of Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau Xianning will hold the first “spring wind activity” service firm job fair on February 8 (100 enterprises from Xianning Economic Development Zone).

　　These 50 enterprises will sign labor contract with employees and pay insurance and housing fund for employees, as well as overtime pay if work overtime, with 8-hour work time and legal holidays. Parts of enterprises establish canteen and dormitory equipped with air-condition and water heater. The salary is 2000-2500 yuan per month for general worker, 3500 yuan or above for skilled worker.

　　The cause for labor shortage of enterprises in Xianning Economic Development Zone includes such six aspects as enterprise scale continuously extending; the need for workers increasing; supporting facility being imperfect; the life being inconvenient for labors from other places; labor costs increasing; unwilling to increase investment on recruitment, training and publicity.
