Villagers were engaged in the cultivation of polygonatum seedlings and the management of bletilla striata seedlings at the seedling-raising base of Hubei Runcao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. located in Xiaoling Township, Chongyang County, May 26th.

Last year, Xiaoling Township prioritized the development of a thousand-mu forest-based polygonatum cultivation base, involving four villages, namely, Suoshi, Baima, Sanjiao, and Xingqiao. Hubei Runcao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a key market player, was introduced to manage the base, which has a total planned area of 5,000 mu. The base will operate under the model of "company management, village committee supervision, and land contribution by villagers as shares," transforming villagers into shareholders and converting local resources into capital.
