Harvesting began on the morning of June 10th in the super-sweet fruit corn field of Junqing Farm in Chongyang County. The super-sweet variety cultivated by Huazhong Agricultural University has attracted numerous tourists to pick and eat on the spot due to its characteristics of being rich in anthocyanins and suitable for direct raw consumption.

Junqing Farm is a modern characteristic agricultural technology demonstration base meticulously established by Huazhong Agricultural University. Since 2020, under the continuous promotion and repeated guidance of Yan Jianbing, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the president of Huazhong Agricultural University, the model of "R&D at Huazhong Agricultural University, cultivation in Chongyang" has taken root here.

After adopting scientific cultivation techniques, the per-mu yield of fruit corn can reach 1,600 jin, significantly boosting economic benefits. Moreover, its rich anthocyanin content has made "eating corn raw" a new consumer favorite that combines great taste with nutritional value.
