The demonstration section (Phase I) of the Gan River Greenway in the urban area has become a popular spot for citizens to connect with nature and enjoy leisure and entertainment activities on July 1.

This project, located on the east side of Chang'e Avenue, stretches from Dafan Chen Sluice in the north to Longtan New Bridge in the south, spanning a total length of 1,560 meters and has now been completed. Adhering to the concepts of being "friendly to all ages" and "suitable for both the elderly and children," the project features the construction of leisure stations, waterside walkways, colorful cycling paths, viewing platforms, and children's play facilities. Meanwhile, focusing on ecological restoration and urban safety, the project has simultaneously implemented works such as the reinforcement of flood control dikes and the laying of drainage culverts, establishing a 1,500-meter-long composite flood control system. This system effectively addresses potential flood risks in the surrounding areas, strengthening the city's safety defenses.
