The final of the 9th Xianning Primary and Secondary School Classic Recitation Activity and the 5th "Xinhua Cup" Poetry Competition, hosted by Xianning Municipal Publicity Department, Xianning Municipal Education Bureau, and Xianning Municipal Media Convergence Center, was held on May 29.

After fierce competition in six rounds, namely, "Hundred Boats Vying," "Impromptu Verses," "You Say I Answer," "Guess the Poem from Clues," "Challenge Q&A," and "Flying Flower Order" , Xianning Experimental Primary School won first place in the elementary school group, while Huashi Yuanyi Chibi School took first place in the middle school group. Since the event began, more than 430 primary and secondary schools across Xianning have seen a wave of enthusiasm for poetry learning.
