As the final bell rang for the last exam (biology) outside the Enan High School test center on the afternoon of June 9, the 2026 National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) in Xianning came to a close.

More than 32,000 students across Xianning walked out of the exam halls, their young faces beaming with joy, marking a perfect end to this all-out journey of chasing dreams.
