The 2026 Xianning "Win the Laurel" Osmanthus Tree Adoption Activity for College Students was held in Xian'an District on the morning of August 14. 50 newly admitted college students walked into the osmanthus forest, adopted their own osmanthus trees, and received adoption certificates.

The adoption areas were set at Jiangnan Guigu in Heshengqiao Town, Xian'an District and Qianshan National Forest Park. The students wandered through the osmanthus woods, carefully picked their favorite trees, and solemnly hung their exclusive adoption plaques marked with their names, admitted universities, graduation time and mottos on the branches. The activity sends best wishes to the youth with the fine implication of "winning the laurel", tying a unique hometown bond for the students who will leave for further studies.
