Tower cranes were in operation on October 9 at the construction site of the Zhonghuopu Sewage Treatment Plant and its supporting pipeline network project in Chibi. All construction procedures were advancing steadily.

The project is located within the plant area of the Chengdong Sewage Treatment Plant on the south bank of the Chimagang and on the south side of the river embankment in Group 9, Shaziling. It has a designed daily treatment capacity of 15,000 tons, and the effluent quality meets the Grade A standard for urban sewage treatment. So far, 90% of the civil engineering work has been completed. The civil works for the comprehensive building are scheduled to be finished by the end of October. Sewage treatment equipment is being installed simultaneously, and the project is planned to start trial operation by the end of November.

Once the project is put into use, it will improve the sewage disposal system in the area, enhance the regional ecological environment, and raise the quality of life for local residents.
