Ai Jianzhou, the person in charge of the Aiqi Orchard of Nanshan Village, Zhonghuopu Town, Chibi, was feeding poultry under the "Akebia trifoliata" vine trellis on October 9. 

For more than ten years, he has taken root in the countryside to develop the characteristic planting of Akebia trifoliata, interplant traditional Chinese medicinal materials such as sealwort, and plant fruit trees such as crisp persimmon and columnar pear as supporting industries, while simultaneously developing under-forest breeding of chickens, ducks and geese.  The poultry in the orchard peck at weeds and insects, and the livestock and poultry manure is composted and converted into organic fertilizer for the fruit trees, forming an ecological model of "one land, two uses, and a planting-breeding cycle," exploring a green and ecological path to rural prosperity.
