Hubei geographical indication conference and brand cultivation innovation competition ended on Sep 20, from which the geographical indication of Xianning, Chongyang fried dough twist stood out and won gold award.
The first Hubei geographical indication conference and brand cultivation innovation competition started at the end of this June. Xianning Administration for Market Regulation actively organized all excellent geographical indication units to join the competition. After first review and assessment, 7 geographical indication units entered the semi-final.
In the final Chongyang fried dough twist won gold award, and Zhenhu (Jiayu) lotus root, Chibi black brick tea, Jiayu fish ball, Tongcheng Haolv tea, Tongshan sesame cake, and Chongyang wild osmanthus honey excellent award.
Chongyang fried dough twist is a specialty of Chongyang County and a national product of geographical indication. It’s golden, sweet, crisp and tasty, with refreshing taste, rich in protein, amino acid, multivitamin and microelements.
Chongyang fried dough twist won Hubei gold award of geographical indication, which shows excellent image of geographical indication once again and polishes Xianning brand.
A total of 101 products of geographical indication took part in the competition in the whole province. Finally 10 gold awards, 10 silver awards and 81 excellent awards were decided. (By Pang Yun/Xianning Daily)
