The special team for urban household waste classification， residential property and constructors carried out site selection and measurement of rubbish bins in Fuxingcheng Community， Xian’an District， Sept 14th， which marks the construction of 14 MSW classification pilot communities begin in Xianning， and they are expected to be put into use at the end of December.

Fourteen residential areas that will implement trash classification in urban districts are Dachucheng， Fuxingcheng， Haidegongguan， Phase II of Bolin (Country Garden)， Zhianqinglin of Country Garden in Xian’an District (Bihuhuanyu of Country Garden in Xian’an District)， Danguixiangti of Country Garden in Xian’an District (Ganhechayun of Country Garden in Xian’an District)， Shuianlanting， Yueliangwan Garden (Yueliangwan Community)，Guiquan Garden， Lvzhouwan， Tianjie Huashacheng， Tianjie Yadiancheng， Tianjie Balicheng， Shuyuan Community.

Xianning will harden the land where will be placed on rubbish bins with eye-catching signs on the ground floor of every residential building in 14 pilot communities， so that residents can sort household waste(recyclables， non-recyclables， hazardous waste and kitchen waste) into separate bins. Also， each pilot community will be set up a "Haolei MSW classification service station".

When putting into operation from December this year， each community will be manned with two full-time staff responsible for publicize and guide the residents to put garbage correctly. Then， the waste will be carried off by special vehicles with classified transportation for harmless disposal， which eventually forms a system of garbage collection， transportation and harmless disposal.

Xianning launched the trial operation of demonstration community for residential garbage classification in 2017. There have been 15 MSW classification pilot communities in urban Xianning until the end of 2019. By the end of this year， 29 MSW classification pilot communities are expected to be completed in urban areas， which will cover 38，050 families and 133，175 people.
