2020 “Agricultural Products Quality Safety Tour in Xianning” activity on Tuesday morning officially started in Jiayu County.

This year’s “Agricultural Products Quality Safety Tour in Xianning” activity takes agriculture-related laws and regulations as the criterion, themed by "concerning the quality safety of agricultural products, and ensuring the effective supply of agricultural products", grasping the opportunity of the “big six activities” by Xianning municipal Party committee to carry out supervision over the quality safety of agricultural products and publicize relevant laws and regulations, to strengthen the defense line for the quality safety of agricultural products, to ensure the social stability of the city after the epidemic disaster, and to improve the quality safety of our city's agricultural products.

The activity is sponsored by the Standing Committee of the Xianning Municipal People's Congress and undertaken by the Rural Affairs Committee of the Xianning Municipal People's Congress. During the activity, a reporting team composed of provincial and municipal media reporters will combine centralization and decentralization ways to go deep into counties or districts to interview the carriers to ensure effective supply of agricultural products, such as major growers, live pig breeding bases, grain processing enterprises, etc to excavate and propagandize a batch of good examples and good experience that ensure stable supply and price, as well as expose quality security problems in agricultural production, processing, transportation, storage, and marketing links, responding to people's concerns.

All participants visited and interviewed Jinrun agricultural vegetable seedlings base in Panjiawan Town, Zhenong agricultural materials supermarket, Jia’an cold-chain logistics, and Jiayu Public Inspection and Testing Center after the launching ceremony. (By Pang Yun/Xianning Daily)
