The fifth session of the fifth Xianning Municipal People’s Congress is about to be held. Jiang Xinghua, director of the Standing Committee of Xianning Municipal People’s Congress on Monday led a team to check the preparatory work in Xianning Conference Center, delegations’ hotels, etc.

The inspection team went to the main venue and each delegation's station to conduct on-site inspections on audio equipment, table and chair facilities, lighting, heating facilities, safety assurance and food hygiene. In order to strengthen the normal epidemic prevention and control work, participants must wear masks this year. The main venue and the resident hotel are equipped with thermal imaging human body thermometer at the entrance. Participants can enter only after cooperating with the temperature measurement.

The inspection team said that the fifth session of the fifth Xianning Municipal People’s Congress a major event in the political life of the people of the whole city, so the relevant departments of the congress should attach great importance to, meticulously prepare for and cooperate with each other, and carry out all the work of the conference at a high standard, so as to ensure that the delegates have a good living and meeting environment, so that the delegates can perform their duties well during the conference.

The inspection team required that on the basis of the existing full preparation, the prevention and control of the epidemic should be done well. The hotels in the area should earnestly summarize the experience of previous years, continue to carry forward the good practices, and ensure that they provide warm and thoughtful services; simplify the arrangement of the conference hall to ensure that the conference is concise and simple; strengthen security measures and work out various work plans to ensure a safe and smooth meeting.
