On Wednesday morning， a teleconference on flood control and drought relief work in Hubei Province was held， which read out the commendation list of advanced groups and individuals for flood control and disaster relief in Hubei Province in 2020，of which 6 groups and 9 individuals in Xianning were selected.

During the flood season in 2020， flood and waterlogging shook Xianning with historic strength. In the face of the serious situation， Xianning has thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and instructions on flood control and disaster relief， firmly established the concept of people first and life first.With the strong leadership of Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Hubei Provincial People’s Government， with the strong organization and command of Xianning Municipal Party Committee and Xianning Municipal People’s Government， the city persisted in both epidemic prevention and control as well as flood control and flood fighting.The broad masses of the people and armymen jointly fought and overcame difficulties， which achieved the goals of no serious danger and disaster in the disastrous year， no collapse of dike and dam， no death cases， and no one was push into poverty as a result of the disaster.
