Xianning municipal government signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation with Hubei Communications Investment Group Co.,Ltd. (HBCI) on June 2. Yang Jun, deputy secretary of Xianning municipal Party committee and mayor, and Lu Jun, deputy secretary of HBCI Party committee and general manager, witnessed the signing ceremony together.

At the symposium for signing agreement, on behalf of Xianning municipal Party committee and municipal government, Yang warmly welcomed HBCI and extended heartfelt thanks to HBCI for its long-term care and support to Xianning's economic and social development. He said that since the beginning of this year, the city has thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the economic work conference held by the CPC Central Committee and the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, and adhered to the general principle of making steady progress. The city's economic and social development has shown a steady and positive momentum at the beginning. HBCI has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with the Xianning city. Some projects settled in the city before, such as Qichun-Jiayu Expressway, Jiayu Yangtze River Bridge, and Chibi Yangtze River Bridge, opened up a new channel for Xianning, while the Xianning-Jiujiang Expressway under construction will help Mufu Mountain area consolidate and expand poverty alleviation achievements and comprehensively promote rural revitalization.

Yang said that at present, Xianning is making all-out efforts to promote the construction of a number of major transportation infrastructure projects, such as the comprehensive gateway port of the Yangtze River and the expressway-railway-waterway combined transportation, to continuously improve the level of opening up to the outside world and promote high-quality economic and social development. This agreement will lay a solid foundation for both sides to achieve deeper development. With deep affection for "old friends", the city will provide better service, create favorable conditions for bilateral cooperation, and jointly build a model of win-win cooperation between local government and enterprises.

Lu said that since its establishment 11 years ago, HBCI has been unswervingly implementing the work arrangements of the Hubei provincial Party Committee and provincial government, focusing on the main responsibility and business of transportation, continuously releasing reform dividends and making positive contributions to the provincial transportation infrastructure construction and economic and social development. Next around the province's regional development layout of "guided by one main force, driven by two wings, and coordinated across the region", it will conscientiously fulfill the responsibilities of state-owned enterprise and play the advantages of professional management experience, financing channels, low cost of capital, and strong ability to gather and integrate resources, to help the high-quality development of Xianning.
