Recently，　the　second　geothermal　well，　which　is　in　Jiayu　Shiquan　geothermal　exploration　project　of　the　Fourth　Geological　Group　of　Hubei　Geological　Bureau，　has　passed　the　acceptance　smoothly．　The　well　was　drilled　to　a　depth　of　2，203　meters．　Through　pumping　test，　the　water　temperature　is　as　high　as　68.8℃　and　the　daily　water　inflow　reaches　810m3．

After　the　65.3℃　geothermal　well　was　discovered　in　the　project　in　April　this　year，　it　once　again　set　the　highest　record　for　the　outlet　temperature　of　the　middle　and　deep　geothermal　exploration　in　Xianning．

A　total　of　3　geothermal　wells　were　designed　and　constructed　in　this　project，　and　it　took　about　4　months　to　select　well　locations　in　the　early　stage．　The　construction　of　the　second　geothermal　well　lasted　58　days，　and　the　water　quality　analysis　results　show　that　it　belongs　to　high　salinity　hot　water．　The　water　is　rich　in　beneficial　trace　elements，　especially　fluorine，　metasilicic　acid　and　lithium，　Kknown　as　the　＂sapphire＂　in　hot　springs，　with　great　potential　for　development　and　utilization．　（Xianning　Daily／Zhang　Huan）
