From time to time the Xiangcheng Grand Theatre burst into childish laughter on Sunday afternoon. Chinese style children's drama "Li Bai, wait for me" took the audience across time and space to immerse themselves in the charm of Tang Dynasty culture and taste the beauty of ancient poetry, and captured the hearts of the audience.

In the drama Li Bai, who likes to travel in the mountains and rivers, accidentally crossed to the modern times and met the naughty boy Li Lan, with a series of interesting stories.

The play restored the mountains and rivers of the Tang Dynasty through modern multimedia technology, allowing people to feel the beauty and cultural customs of the Tang Dynasty; it deconstructed Li Bai's ambition and bumpy career through stage performance, letting the audience approach the poet and the classic, and understand the positive and sad, heroic and chic in Li Bai's poems.

After the performance began, the wonderful performances of the actors from time to time triggered enthusiastic applause and laughter from the small audience. As the plot deepened, sometimes the audience was melancholy, sometimes angry, sometimes ecstatic, and sometimes sad.

According to Lai Yi, general manager of the Xiangcheng Grand Theatre, recently, the theater launched the "Meet · Xianning Performance Season" from September 5 to November 21. They carefully prepared 14 performances, including drama, musical, folk art, and children's drama. In order to allow more people to enjoy these wonderful performances, Xiangcheng Grand Theatre will also introduce a variety of preferential policies. (Xianning Daily/Du Peiqing)
