Athletes　from　all　over　the　country　were　seizing　the　last　time　to　do　adaptation　training　in　Xianning　Gateball　Center　on　December　2nd．

2024　National　Gateball　Competition　＆　National　Minority　Gateball　Competition　will　be　held　in　Xianning　from　December　3　to　5，　which　attracted　a　total　of　500　athletes　of　40　teams　from　5　provinces　or　municipalities．

Li　Yanjun　from　Dorbod　Mongol　Autonomous　County　gateball　team　of　Daqing，　Heilongjiang　Province　praised　the　ecological　environment　of　Xianning．　He　said，　＂Xianning　is　an　ecological　and　livable　city，　with　unlimited　scenery，　very　suitable　for　the　elderly　to　participate　in　various　activities＂．

In　order　to　host　this　gateball　exchange　activity，　the　city　has　made　careful　arrangements　in　the　organization　of　the　event，　venue　layout　and　security．　Tian　Junjie，　deputy　director　of　Xianning　Gateball　Club，　said　that　we　will　be　a　good　＂host＂　with　the　most　sincere　enthusiasm　and　the　highest　service　standards，　provide　the　best　quality　service　for　the　friends　who　come　from　afar，　and　look　forward　to　learning　from　each　other　and　making　progress　together　with　other　gateball　lovers　all　over　the　country　through　this　competition．

＂The　referee　team　has　been　fully　in　place　and　has　successfully　completed　the　relevant　training　and　preparation．　We　strive　to　achieve　the　goal　of　zero　dispute，　zero　objection　and　zero　complaint　during　the　competition，　to　provide　a　fair　and　just　competition　environment　for　athletes．＂　Yan　Changyu，　the　chief　judge　of　this　competition　and　an　international　referee，　said　in　the　interview，　adding　that　the　Chinese　Gateball　Association　has　selected　more　than　20　referees　of　international　level　and　above　to　ensure　a　fair　and　just　competition．

The　competition　will　be　divided　into　two　stages：　in　the　first　stage，　the　group　round　robin　is　used　to　determine　the　group　ranking；　in　the　second　stage，　the　elimination　match　and　play－offs　are　used　to　determine　the　ranking　for　the　final．　The　final　will　be　played　in　the　first　and　second　halves，　competing　for　the　crown．　（Xianning　Daily／Tan　Hongyu）
