The　Hubei　section　of　Tongshan－Wuning　Expressway，　which　is　invested　and　constructed　by　Hubei　Communications　Investment　Group　Co．，Ltd．，　has　passed　project　checking　and　accepting　a　few　days　ago．　After　the　project　is　completed　and　opened　to　traffic，　the　travel　time　from　Tongshan　in　Xianning　to　Wuning　in　Jiujiang　will　be　shortened　from　more　than　3　hours　to　less　than　1　hour．

The　project　starts　from　Nanlinqiao　town　of　Tongshan　county，　connecting　Xian＇an－Tongshan　Expressway　and　Hangzhou－Ruili　Expressway，　and　extending　southeast　to　Jiugong　Mountain　scenic　area　to　end　at　the　border　of　Hubei　and　Jiangxi　provinces　in　the　Jiugongshan　Tunnel　No．2，　and　connecting　Daqing–Guangzhou　Expressway　and　Yongxiu－Wuning　Expressway　in　Jiujiang，　Jiangxi　province．

As　the　liaison　line　of　Beijing－Hong　Kong－Macao　Expressway　and　Daqing–Guangzhou　Expressway，　Xianning－Jiujiang　Expressway　will　connect　Wuhan　metropolitan　area　and　Poyang　Lake　Ecological　Economic　Zone．　The　completion　of　the　Hubei　section　of　Tongshan－Wuning　Expressway　is　of　great　significance　to　improve　the　highway　network　in　Hubei　and　Jiangxi　provinces　and　the　transportation　conditions　in　the　old　revolutionary　base　areas　of　the　two　provinces，　to　strengthen　inter－provincial　connectivity　between　Hubei　and　Jiangxi　provinces，　to　promote　the　development　of　urban　clusters　in　the　middle　reaches　of　the　Yangtze　River，　and　to　facilitate　the　development　of　tourism　resources　and　economic　and　social　development　of　the　regions　along　the　expressway．　（Xianning　Daily／Song　Wenhu）
