"Get on a helicopter to see the wild cherry blossoms..." on the afternoon of March 23, a helicopter parked in front of the village committee of Daling Village, Tongzhong Township, Chongyang County, drew cheers from tourists.
This marks the official opening of Chongyang's first low-altitude sightseeing route for wild cherry blossoms. Visitors can overlook the 100,000 mu of wild cherry blossom sea in the sky, unlocking a new experience of spring flower viewing.
Daling Village is located in the hinterland of Longquan Mountain in Chongyang, which has the largest wild cherry blossom community in central China. Every year, the rolling mountains are covered with a sea of pink and white flowers in March and April.
This year, the village cooperated with Shanxi Flying Home General Aviation Co., Ltd., and introduced sightseeing helicopter to open "Sakura Cloud Sea" featured route and create flight sightseeing tourism projects.
According to reports, the helicopter sightseeing project has built temporary landing points, viewing platforms, etc., as well as professional flight crews.
"It used to take three or four hours to climb the mountain to see the flowers, but now you can see the secret scenery of wild cherry blossoms in 20 minutes," said Miss Li, a tourist from Wuhan, adding that she must try it.
"Taking aerial photos of wild cherry blossoms on Longquan Mountain with a drone is like flying over an ocean of pink, which is so shocking you couldn't say anything, and today, with helicopters, it's even more exciting," said Lei Yu, a shutterbug from Chongyang.
When the helicopter skimmed over the cherry blossom sea, the airstream of the propeller stirred flower waves over the mountain. This industrial transformation that began with cherry blossom viewing on the cloud is injecting surging momentum into rural revitalization of Chongyang. (Xianning Daily/Ma Liya)
