The　first　academician　lecture　of　＂Innovation　China＂　Academician　and　Expert　Tour　in　Xianning　was　held　in　Hubei　University　of　Science　and　Technology　on　March　21，　2025．　Xu　Weilin，　academician　of　the　Chinese　Academy　of　Engineering，　deputy　secretary　of　the　Party　Committee　and　President　of　Wuhan　Textile　University，　shared　cutting－edge　technologies　in　the　textile　field　and　discussed　textile　＂black　technology＂．

With　the　topic　of　＂textile　science　and　technology　is　an　important　force　to　promote　human　civilization　and　social　progress＂，　Academician　Xu　Weilinsimply　showed　the　major　contribution　of　textile　technology　to　cultural　development　and　national　confidence，　and　highlighted　the　core　promoting　role　of　textile　technology　for　the　development　of　modern　powerful　countries　from　four　respects，　including　the　evolution　of　international　civilization　and　Chinese　history，　the　contribution　of　textile　science　and　technology　to　international　civilization，　the　role　of　textile　science　and　technology　in　the　rise　of　global　powers，　and　the　current　situation　and　future　development　trend　of　textile　science　and　technology．

The　academician　also　shared　the　story　of　generations　of　textile　people＇s　selfless　dedication　to　work　and　enthusiasm　for　the　motherland，　cutting　through　hardships，　unremitting　testing，　focusing　on　＂hard　bones＂，　insisting　on　overcoming　＂bottleneck＂　of　key　technologies，　and　running　out　of　textile　innovation　＂acceleration＂，　so　as　to　encourage　teachers　and　students　to　actively　explore　and　innovate　on　the　road　of　scientific　exploration，　and　become　young　people　in　the　new　era　with　the　feelings　of　home　and　country　and　the　ability　to　innovate．

After　the　lecture，　Academician　Xu　Weilin　also　had　a　field　exchange　with　students　of　Hubei　University　of　Science　and　Technology，　patiently　and　carefully　answering　questions　for　students，　and　sent　a　message　to　the　students：　interest，　self－learning　and　frustration　resistance，　are　the　three　important　abilities　necessary　for　future　outstanding　talents．　He　hoped　that　young　students，　driven　by　good　interest，　can　cultivate　strong　self－learning　ability　and　realize　their　life　dreams　in　the　continuous　exploration　of　the　world．
