Mao　Ming，　academician　of　Chinese　Academy　of　Sciences　and　director　of　China　North　Vehicle　Research　Institute，　and　Liu　Sheng，　academician　of　Chinese　Academy　of　Sciences　and　executive　director　of　the　Institute　of　Technological　Sciences，　Wuhan　University，　on　Sunday　came　to　Xianning　for　investigation．　Zhou　Feng，　secretary　of　the　Xianning　Municipal　Committee　of　the　CPC，　had　an　informal　discussion　with　Mao　and　Liu，　conducting　in－depth　exchanges　on　matters　such　as　further　deepening　industry－university　cooperation　and　promoting　the　cooperation　between　the　Institute　of　Technological　Sciences，　Wuhan　University　and　Xianning．

On　behalf　of　the　municipal　Party　committee　and　the　municipal　government，　Zhou　extended　a　warm　welcome　to　Mao　and　Liu，　and　expressed　his　sincere　thanks　to　Mao　and　Liu　for　their　concern　and　support　for　the　development　of　Xianning．　He　also　briefly　introduced　the　economic　and　social　development　of　Xianning　in　recent　years．　At　present，　Xianning　is　vigorously　implementing　the　＂five　actions＂　of　development　industry　multiplication，　technology　empowerment，　development　power　cultivation，　development　energy　level　upgrading，　and　happy　Xianning，　accelerating　the　construction　of　an　important　growth　pole　for　the　green　development　of　Wuhan　metropolitan　area，　and　striving　to　write　a　chapter　of　Chinese－type　modernization　in　Xianning．　Before，　Xianning＇s　relevant　departments　had　exchanged　with　two　academicians　and　Wuhan　University　for　many　times，　focusing　on　industry－university　cooperation，　personnel　training，　university－local　government　joint　development　and　technical　problem　solving．　It＇s　hoped　that　two　academicians　can　give　greater　care　and　support　to　the　development　of　Xianning，　and　promote　the　implementation　of　relevant　cooperation，　providing　more　solid　technology，　talent　and　industrial　support　for　the　high－quality　economic　and　social　development　of　Xianning．

Mao　and　Liu　highly　appraised　the　achievements　of　Xianning＇s　economic　and　social　development．　They　said　that　Xianning　has　obvious　ecological　advantages　and　location　advantages；　the　municipal　Party　committee　and　the　municipal　government　attach　great　importance　to　science　and　technology　and　talent　work；　the　scientific　and　technological　innovation　achievements　are　remarkable；　the　low－altitude　economy　and　other　industrial　foundation　is　good；　and　the　development　potential　is　huge．　In　the　next　step，　they　will　deeply　combine　the　needs　of　Xianning＇s　development，　give　full　play　to　their　own　advantages，　and　actively　promote　more　emerging　industries　and　future　industrial　projects　to　settle　in　Xianning．　They　will　accelerate　the　relevant　cooperation　between　the　Institute　of　Technological　Sciences，　Wuhan　University　and　Xianning，　and　jointly　do　a　good　job　in　scientific　research　collaboration，　transformation　of　scientific　and　technological　achievements，　personnel　training　and　enterprise　incubation．　They　will　strive　to　achieve　more　fruitful　cooperation　results　in　promoting　the　integrated　development　of　scientific　and　technological　innovation　and　industrial　innovation，　and　make　more　contribution　to　accelerating　the　construction　of　an　important　growth　pole　for　the　green　development　of　Wuhan　metropolitan　area　in　Xianning．
