＂PSBC　Cup＂　21st　Xianning　Staff　Table　Tennis　Competition，　with　the　theme　of　＂the　Chinese　Dream　and　the　Beauty　of　Labor：　Be　a　vital　force　in　the　construction　of　the　economic　development　fulcrum＂，　kicked　off　at　the　table　tennis　hall　of　the　Xianning　Table　Tennis　Association　in　the　evening　of　April　18th．

Pen－hold　grip，　hand－shake　grip，　spike，　spinning　ball，　curving　ball．．．the　competition　was　full　of　excitement．　The　contestants　competed　fiercely，　employing　various　tactics　such　as　service　return　attack，　overpowering　smashes，　and　half　volley　with　push，　either　using　feints　to　confuse　the　opponent，　or　launching　precise　attacks，　or　defending　skillfully．　From　time　to　time，　there　were　bursts　of　cheers　and　enthusiastic　applause．　Everyone　waved　their　rackets　and　sweated　profusely，　enjoying　the　joy　brought　by　competitive　sports　and　demonstrating　a　fine　spirit　of　unity　and　progress．

This　competition　will　last　until　April　20th　and　is　divided　into　events　such　as　guest　singles，　men＇s　team　Group　A，　men＇s　team　Group　B，　and　women＇s　team．　More　than　280　athletes　from　43　teams　competed　and　exchanged　their　skills，　presenting　a　series　of　spectacular　visual　feasts．

This　competition　is　jointly　organized　by　the　Xianning　Federation　of　Trade　Unions，　the　Work　Committee　for　Organizations　directly　under　the　Xianning　Municipal　Committee　of　the　Communist　Party　of　China，　and　the　Xianning　Sports　Development　Center．　It　aims　to　continuously　enrich　the　cultural　and　sports　life　of　the　employees，　advocate　a　healthy　lifestyle，　practice　the　core　socialist　values，　and　actively　promote　the　integrated　development　of　mass　sports　and　the　big　health　industry，　as　well　as　the　organic　combination　of　employee　cultural　activities　and　the　promotion　of　project　construction，　so　as　to　constantly　improve　the　comprehensive　quality　of　the　vast　number　of　table　tennis　enthusiasts，　promote　the　healthy　development　of　the　city＇s　table　tennis　cause，　and　unite　and　guide　the　vast　number　of　workers　in　the　city　to　contribute　and　achieve　new　accomplishments　in　accelerating　the　building　of　an　important　growth　pole　for　the　green　development　of　the　Wuhan　metropolitan　area．　（Xianning　Daily／Zhou　Yang）
