Xianning Municipal Bureau of Commerce launched a publicity campaign themed "oppose waste and advocate thrift" in Wanda Plaza in the morning of May 22nd. Through forms such as reading out written proposal and signing commitment letter, we advocate that the whole society practice the concept of thrift and foster a good atmosphere where waste is shameful and thrift is honorable.

The initiative letter of "Opposing Waste and Advocating Thrift" was read out at the event site, calling on citizens and merchants to practice the concept of thrift and put an end to wasteful behavior from multiple aspects such as catering, shopping and daily life. The initiative particularly emphasized that catering business units need to implement the Anti-Food Waste Law of the People's Republic of China, and integrate the concept of thrift throughout the entire process of catering services through measures such as scientific meal preparation, reasonable ordering, and innovative service models.

Then all the merchant representatives jointly signed the commitment letter of "Oppose Waste and Advocate Thrift", demonstrating their firm determination to oppose waste and advocate thrift through concrete actions. Jin Lei, marketing manager of Xianning Wanda Plaza, said that this event is an important practice for enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities. In the future, the plaza will continue to encourage merchants to implement conservation measures and guide consumers to consume rationally.

At the event site, many citizens expressed that they would start from themselves, practice the concept of thrift and support the "Clean Plate Campaign". A catering professional who participated in the event said, "We will actively respond to the initiative and reduce waste by adjusting the portion sizes of dishes and strengthening staff training, etc., to contribute to the construction of a conservation-oriented society".
