The　final　of　the　8th　＂Xianning＇s　Story＂　Speech　Competition　was　held　on　the　afternoon　of　July　16．　Zhang　Ting，　member　of　the　Standing　Committee　of　the　Xianning　Municipal　Party　Committee，　director　of　the　Propaganda　Department，　and　deputy　mayor，　Mao　Xiujun，　vice　chairman　of　the　Standing　Committee　of　the　Xianning　Municipal　People＇s　Congress，　and　Huang　Wen，　vice　chairman　of　the　CPPCC　Xianning　Municipal　Committee，　watched　the　competition　at　the　site　and　presented　awards　to　the　winning　contestants．

Since　the　competition　kicked　off　in　March，　more　than　ten　special　events　have　been　held　successively．　More　than　200　contestants　participated　in　the　preliminary　rounds　held　in　counties　（cities，　districts）　and　municipal　departments　respectively．　Through　their　speech，　a　large　number　of　advanced　figures　and　touching　stories　have　been　unveiled．　After　rounds　of　selection，　a　total　of　14　teams　of　contestants　made　it　to　the　final．

The　＂living＂　martyr　Hu　Jinhai，　＂Good　Person　of　China＂　Zeng　Hongxing，　＂Grandma　Herbal　Tea＂　Xu　Guimei，　＂White　Car　Hero＂　Du　Zhijun．．．at　the　final　site，　14　groups　of　contestants　took　the　stage　one　by　one．　Centering　on　the　theme　and　combining　the　good　deeds　around　us，　with　full　enthusiasm，　simple　language，　vivid　examples　and　sincere　emotions，　the　touching　stories　in　Xianning　were　narrated　in　the　form　of　speech　and　scene　play．　The　contestants　sometimes　spoke　passionately　and　at　other　times　in　a　gentle　and　unhurried　manner．　Every　story　and　every　character　deeply　touched　every　viewer．

During　the　competition，　the　judges　scored　and　commented　on　the　contestants＇　performances　from　multiple　dimensions　such　as　story　content，　language　expression，　stage　presentation，　and　performance　effect．　After　a　fierce　competition，　contestant　No．　7　Xie　Jinglan　won　the　first　prize．　Contestant　No．　6　Ou　Xinwen　and　No．　9　the　team　of　Li　Zhen，　Geng　Xuefei，　Wang　Jian　and　Hu　Peng　won　the　second　prize．　The　competition　also　awarded　4　third　prizes　and　7　excellence　awards．　（Xianning　Daily／Tan　Hongyu）
