Recently， Hubei Provincial Platform for Common GeoSpatial Information Services （Map World·Hubei） has launched the osmanthus－themed map in which Osmanthus Source Scenic Area in Guihua Town of Xian＇an District labeled as a core place for enjoying osmanthus， connecting a poetic route for tourists across the country to seek the scent of osmanthus flowers．

The electronic map created by Hubei Provincial Map Institute focused on the osmanthus and took laurel gold as main tone， adopting a painting technique that combines Chinese ink light－color painting with western watercolor painting． In the style of new Chinese－style ink－wash comics， it perfectly blended the artistic conception of ＂The laurel seeds fall from the moon； Heavenly scent is puffed across the clouds＂ with the charm of autumn in Xianning． Only need to log in to the official website （https:／／hubei．tianditu．gov．cn）， tourists can access to the navigation of the secret spots for osmanthus viewing throughout Xianning， including detailed information on distinctive spots such as the ancient osmanthus clusters in the Osmanthus Source Scenic Area and the Osmanthus Museum．

Xianning is one of the five traditional production areas of osmanthus in China， and osmanthus is distributed in all six counties （cities and districts） of the city， particularly famous in Guihua Town of Xian＇an District． The cultivation of osmanthus in Xian＇an District has a long history， with the earliest written records dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period． There is still a relatively concentrated and largest ancient osmanthus community in the district， with over 2，000 ancient osmanthus trees over 100 years old， accounting for 91％ of the national total． There are currently four major variety groups： golden osmanthus， silver osmanthus， red osmanthus and four－season osmanthus， with nearly 30 varieties of osmanthus． The osmanthus flowers in the city will reach their best viewing period in September． Visitors are sincerely invited to log in the map， following the guidance of the digital map to savor the unique autumn romance of Xianning， the ＂Hometown of Osmanthus in China＂， amid the sweet fragrance of osmanthus throughout the city． （Xianning Daily／Wang Xinzhuo）
