From　August　17　to　21，　the　2025　Hubei　Youth　Taekwondo　Championship　kicked　off　at　the　Olympic　Sports　Center　in　Shiyan　City．　A　total　of　408　athletes　from　23　teams　across　the　province　engaged　in　a　fierce　competition，　and　the　athletes　from　Xianning　won　1　gold，　2　silvers　and　1　bronze．

This　event　is　divided　into　28　competition　levels　based　on　age　and　weight．　The　players　need　to　face　their　opponents　directly　in　a　single－elimination　system．　In　the　competition，　the　athletes　from　Xianning　were　not　intimidated　by　strong　opponents，　and　performed　outstandingly　and　fought　bravely．　In　the　men＇s　Group　B　competition，　Wang　Hongbo　won　the　championship　in　the　45kg　category，　demonstrating　his　strong　strength；　Mao　Shirui　won　the　silver　medal　in　the　highly　competitive　＋63kg　category．　In　the　women＇s　Group　A　competition，　Yang　Yuting　won　the　silver　medal　in　the　55kg　category，　while　Hu　Zishan　claimed　the　bronze　medal　in　the　49kg　category．　In　addition，　the　city＇s　athletes　Li　Runzhe　and　Wang　Hongbo　were　awarded　the　title　of　＂Sportsmanship　Award　Athlete＂．

In　recent　years，　the　city　has　continuously　deepened　the　integration　of　sports　and　education　and　strengthened　the　development　of　sports　schools．　Relying　on　social　forces，　the　Xianning　Youth　Taekwondo　Amateur　Sports　School　was　established　and　successfully　selected　into　the　＂61530　Action　Plan＂　for　comprehensively　deepening　the　development　of　sports　schools　in　Hubei　Province　in　2024．　At　present，　there　are　12　first－level　athletes　and　63　second－level　athletes　in　the　Taekwondo　event　in　Xianning．　Through　practicing　Taekwondo，　a　large　number　of　teenagers　enhance　their　physical　fitness　and　willpower，　promoting　the　all－round　improvement　of　their　overall　quality．　（Xianning　Daily／Wu　Qingpeng）
