The　preliminary　round　of　the　8th　Xianning　＂Nan＇e　Cup＂　High－level　Talent　Innovation　＆　Entrepreneurship　Competition　kicked　off　in　Jintan　Education　Science　and　Technology　Innovation　Park　of　Changzhou　University　on　August　27．　The　preliminary　round　of　the　competition　is　divided　into　the　Changzhou　Division　and　the　Wuhan　Division．　This　time，　20　high－quality　projects　with　cutting－edge　technological　content　and　market　potential　were　showcased　in　the　Changzhou　competition　area．

Since　the　announcement　of　the　competition　was　released　in　June，　a　total　of　over　150　high－level　talents　have　signed　up　for　the　competition　with　their　projects．　After　review　and　screening，　over　100　projects　advanced　to　the　preliminary　round，　among　which　20　projects　were　from　the　electronic　information　and　equipment　manufacturing　industry　track　in　the　Changzhou　Division．

The　competition　is　divided　into　six　major　tracks　around　the　modern　industrial　development　system　of　the　city：　modern　agriculture　and　food　and　beverage，　big　health　and　biomedicine，　new　materials　and　new　building　materials，　electronic　information　and　equipment　manufacturing，　cultural　tourism，　and　green　energy．　Among　them，　the　Changzhou　Division　has　set　up　the　equipment　manufacturing　and　electronic　information　track，　while　all　six　tracks　in　the　Wuhan　Division　have　such　tracks．

This　competition　adopts　a　＂10＋5＂　model，　which　consists　of　a　10－minute　presentation　and　a　5－minute　reply．　The　judging　panel　is　composed　of　five　renowned　scholars　and　experts，　investors　and　entrepreneurship　mentors．　A　comprehensive　score　will　be　given　based　on　the　project＇s　innovation，　industrialization　prospects，　feasibility　of　implementation　and　its　compatibility　with　Xianning＇s　industries．　About　60　projects　will　be　selected　through　a　competitive　process　to　advance　to　the　semi－finals．

This　year，　the　competition　made　its　debut　in　the　Yangtze　River　Delta　region　for　the　first　time　and　chose　to　set　up　the　competition　area　in　Changzhou．　It　is　an　innovative　measure　of　the　city　to　＂attract　talents　through　competitions，　promote　innovation　through　talents，　and　boost　production　through　innovation＂，　and　will　inject　strong　impetus　into　Xianning＇s　efforts　to　become　an　important　growth　pole　for　green　development　in　the　Wuhan　Metropolitan　Area．　（Xianning　Daily／Tan　Hongyu）
