From　May　15th　to　16th，　the　2026　Hubei　Stand－up　Paddling　Open　（Xingshan　Station）　kicked　off　with　great　enthusiasm　by　the　Xiangxi　River　in　Xingshan　County，　Yichang　City．　The　Xianning　paddling　team　sent　19　athletes　to　compete　and　won　a　total　of　4　gold　medals，　3　silver　medals　and　2　bronze　medals．　Several　people　topped　the　total　points　list，　and　the　Lushuihu　Youth　Water　Sports　Center　of　Chibi　Children＇s　Amateur　Sports　School　won　the　Best　Team　Award．

This　event　is　hosted　by　the　Water　Sports　Management　Center　of　Hubei　Provincial　Sports　Bureau．　It＇s　the　first　stop　of　the　provincial　paddling　series，　attracting　over　300　athletes　from　across　the　province　to　compete　on　the　same　stage．　The　event　is　divided　into　open　group，　12－year－old　group，　15－year－old　group，　40＋　group　and　50＋　group，　covering　both　men＇s　and　women＇s　individual　and　team　events，　and　covering　all　age　groups．

In　the　competition，　the　young　players　from　Xianning　shone　brightly．　Yu　Meilin　swept　the　championships　of　both　the　2000－meter　long－distance　and　200－meter　straight　course　races　in　the　U12　women＇s　group，　claiming　the　overall　points　championship　of　this　group．　Si　Wenhui　strongly　won　the　two　individual　championships　and　the　overall　points　championship　in　the　U15　women＇s　group．　In　addition，　the　representative　team　of　Xianning　City　also　won　the　second　place　in　the　total　points　of　the　U12　women＇s　group　and　the　U15　men＇s　group．　The　young　players　have　demonstrated　strong　strength　and　development　potential．

The　open　tournament　adopts　a　format　of　＂6　regional　competitions　＋1　final＂，　with　the　competition　schedule　running　from　May　to　October．　Chibi　City　has　been　deeply　engaged　in　water　sports　for　many　years．　This　outstanding　performance　not　only　highlights　the　achievements　of　Xianning＇s　youth　paddling　training，　but　also　accumulates　valuable　experience　for　subsequent　regional　competitions，　finals，　championships　and　other　provincial　key　events．　（Xianning　Daily／Cheng　Pianruo）
