On　October　14th，　the　track　and　field　competition　of　the　17th　Hubei　Provincial　Games　for　the　youth　sports　category　（Sports　School　Group）　kicked　off　at　the　stadium　of　Xiaogan　Olympic　Sports　Center．

For　this　competition，　Xianning　Team　sent　a　total　of　9　athletes　to　compete　in　the　U18　group　（16－17　years　old）　men＇s　100m，　200m，　400m，　4×　100m　relay，　4×　400m　relay　events，　as　well　as　the　U20　group　（18－19　years　old）　men＇s　100m，　200m　and　400m　events．

In　the　morning　preliminaries，　the　young　athletes　from　Xianning　were　bold　and　aggressive，　making　multiple　breakthroughs．　Four　of　them　advanced　to　the　individual　finals．　In　the　afternoon，　multiple　finals　were　held　one　after　another：　at　14：35，　Wang　Chenjun　competed　in　the　men＇s　U18　100－meter　final　and　ranked　fourth；　at　15：15，　Sun　Jiale　and　Yu　Zhi　competed　in　the　men＇s　U18　400－meter　final　and　ranked　fourth　and　fifth　respectively；　at　15：20，　Huang　Chang　made　his　appearance　in　the　men＇s　U20　400－meter　final　and　ranked　sixth；　at　17：35，　the　final　of　the　4×　100－meter　relay　for　the　men＇s　U18　group　kicked　off．　The　Xianning　Team，　composed　of　Wang　Chenjun，　Xu　Ziyue，　Xia　Yuhao　and　Sun　Jiale，　ranked　seventh．

On　the　field，　the　players　gave　it　their　all　and　charged　forward　bravely，　demonstrating　a　fine　mental　outlook．　According　to　the　schedule，　the　Xianning　Team　will　subsequently　participate　in　events　such　as　the　200－meter　race　and　the　4×　400－meter　relay．　The　entire　team　will　promptly　adjust　their　competitive　state，　spare　no　effort　to　prepare　for　the　subsequent　matches，　and　strive　to　achieve　excellent　results　for　the　Xianning　Team．　（Xianning　Daily／Huang　Lanfen）
